Heal (Geelong)

Heal photo.png

Director Kelly Noonan Gores' documentary takes us on a scientific and spiritual journey where we discover that our thoughts, beliefs, and emotions have a huge impact on our health and ability to heal. The latest science reveals that we are not victims of unchangeable genes, nor should we buy into a scary prognosis. The fact is we have more control over our health and life than we have been taught to believe. This film will empower you with a new understanding of the miraculous nature of the human body and the extraordinary healer within us all.

HEAL not only taps into the brilliant minds of leading scientists and spiritual teachers but follows three people on actual high stakes healing journeys. Healing can be extremely complex and deeply personal, but it can also happen spontaneously in a moment.
Through these inspiring and emotional stories, we find out what works, what doesn't, and why.

Featuring Dr. Deepak Chopra, Dr Joe Dispenza, Anita Moorjani, Bruce Lipton, Marianne Williamson, Dr. Michael Beckwith, Gregg Braden, Anthony William the Medical Medium, Dr. Kelly Turner and many more.

Q&A Panel
Kundalini Running founder Doug Wilson overcame a life threatening brain tumour in 2013 and used yoga, meditation and mindful practices like a plant based diet to support his rehabilitation. In just over 12 months after suffering extensive cranial nerve damage, meningitis and leaving hospital in a wheelchair the changes to his lifestyle led him toward becoming the first person to run 7 competitive marathons on the 7 continents in under 7 days. Doug now shares his experiences of coping with the stresses of the modern world through teaching and working with people in drug rehabilitation. His background in investment banking Enterprise IT compliments his scientific approach to health which is backed up by practical, real world experiences of developing a healthy body, mind and spirit.
Julie-Anne's life fell apart after an accident which stripped her of everything except her fighting spirit. Julie-Anne was in the darkest place she had ever been in her life and was on the medical roller coaster ride; medical complications and medication complications.  Her thought patterns were negative, she was caught in victim thinking and most of all she was ready to give up. Julie-Anne went on the search and started studying healing, when the "You can heal your life" book by Louise Hay fell at her feet at an op shop. She then sourced and found her own medical team which included complementary therapies. She became the CEO of her own body which enabled healing to be reinstated in her Mind, Body and Spirit.  Meditation, Yoga, Mindfulness, Pacing Up Method, Gratitude Journalling, Affirmations and Clean Eating were introduced to her everyday life.
Julie-Anne has completed numerous certificates and diplomas on healing and has recently opened her own practice The Soul-Full Mind which teaches Mind Body Wellness.  Julie-Anne has complete empathy for anyone going through trauma or living with trauma as she has lived it, breathed it and overcome it. Julie-Anne's absolute passion is empowering clients by reinstating Self Love - Self Nurturing - Self Healing - Calmness - Acceptance and restoring hope back into one's life.
